Who is responsible for installing the Netvault backup client?
As part of the implementation process Profitability.net administrators will install and configure the backup client
What frequency of backup can be set?
Clients have many options including daily incremental and weekly master backup schedules. Most clients maintain at least 2 master backups and incrementals for the previous week.
What data will be backed up?
Only data that you specify by folder. Clients who would like the entire disk backed up can choose to do so as well. Some applications including databases or open files will not be backed up unless an application plug-in module is installed. Databases can be dumped into a specific folder or can be captured via an APM.
Who is authorized to make changes in the backup schedule?
Profitability.net maintains control of all backup schedules based upon client requirements. Policy changes must be made in writing and submitted to support@profitability.net.
What level of granularity is possible in setting up the backup?
A backup set can include a single file, whole server, share or volume and directory. You only pay for the amount of storage you utilize.
Can multiple servers be backed up simultaneously?
Any number of servers can be backed up simultanously. Your data is transferred via a dedicated storage network that ensures application performance and response is not impacted during backup windows.
