Disabled American Veterans Outsources their Data Center to Profitability.net
Kentucky headquartered Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has signed a multiyear agreement with Profitability.net for secure colocation in their downtown Cincinnati data center. “We needed a strategic partner that understood our commitment to Veterans”, stated Arthur H. Wilson CEO for the Disabled American Veterans. “Profitability.net understands that as an organization serving disabled veterans in communities across the nation, availability to information without interruption is critical.”
One issue facing many organizations today is the potential for interruption of information technology (IT) services due to disaster or other unexpected event. Business continuity plans are being strategically implemented into many organization’s operations. “Downtime resulting from disaster can be devastating to organizations, and in DAV’s case, also to the veterans they serve. Profitability.net’s architecture is engineered with dual flywheel UPSs and generator protected power to ensure the highest level of uptime and network availability for our clients,” says Aaron Larkins, CEO of Profitability.net.
Finding the right data center provider was an important part of DAV’s business continuity planning. IT Director Bill Saunders and his team began researching firms in early 2010, and after a long process of facility tours they decided on a company with a strong reputation. “Profitability.net is a hardened facility, strategically located near DAV’s National Headquarters. This along with Profitability.net’s emphasis on security, their highly available infrastructure and carrier neutrality made them a perfect fit for our needs,” states Wilson.
“Commitment and trust are essential aspects of Profitability.net’s business mantra, and we are proud to be able to work with such a great organization like DAV that is committed to helping our nation’s disabled veterans,” comments Larkins.
