Cincinnati’s Profitability.net secures colocation contract with Media Monitors

Media Monitors has selected Profitability.net to host its Aircheck infrastructure in Cincinnati. The Aircheck service monitors broadcast airwaves nationwide and Media Monitors will rely upon Profitability.net’s secure colocation, network bandwidth and KVM over IP services to implement the service in Cincinnati.

Media Monitors was attracted to the secure colocation facility and KVM over IP services that Profitability.net provides. KVM over IP provides remote network administrators with a secure access method to a server console when traditional access methods are not available. With KVM over IP, a Media Monitors administrator can securely manage the server infrastructure and respond to service alerts without booking a flight and traveling to Profitability.net’s Cincinnati colocation facility.

“Media Monitors Aircheck service is a great example of our ability to deliver on custom applications and requirements,” says Aaron Larkins, President of Profitability.net. His team, in conjunction with Endeavor Electric, installed an antenna on the roof of 312 Plum Street to monitor FM and AM broadcasts. The broadcasts are then tied into a computer infrastructure located in the Profitability.net colocation facility. Once the data is aggregated, it is sent back to a remote colocation facility for further processing.

“We won Media Monitors business in part due to our ability to respond and engineer a custom colocation solution on a short implementation schedule,” said Larkins.
