What software is required to use SendIt?
SendIt is accessible using Internet Explorer. No desktop or server software is required.
Is it possible to schedule a mailing?
SendIt enables you to schedule multiple mailings for your campaign with different newsletters that you can store.
What tools are available to edit newsletters?
There is a full WYSIWYG editor built into SendIt that makes it easy for non-technical users to develop a template and send a mailing. For experienced developers there is an also an option to edit and upload HTML. Additionally, you can select a web page URL and send that as your newsletter. This option requires you to use full URL paths for images and page objetcts.
What happens to bounced or returned messages?
SendIt includes an automated bounce handling system that enables you to mark the recipient as inactive or delete them entirely from the system. SendIt will also provide a report on bounced email messages.
How easy is it to add subscribers to my lists?
End users can subscribe to specific lists based upon forms you insert into your website or emails. SendIt users can also add and remove subscribers at any time.
What import tools are available?
SendIt enables you to import existing subscriber lists from a comma delimited file or CSV file. This means that all information within the file is separated by commas and new lines to allow SendIt to separate the respective fields of information. You can also import subscribers from a MySQL database.
What newsletter formats are available?
SendIt can send text, HTML or both (multipart) formats to your mailing list.
Does Profitability.net insert a tagline or message into SendIt mailings?
Profitability.net does not insert or attach any signatures into your mailings such as “Powered By”. SendIt is designed to be a communication tool for your business, not a marketing vehicle for our firm.
Does SendIt include any tracking tools?
SendIt can track open rates with HTML emails and Links when a mailing recipient clicks on a link within the message. Link tracking and referring to webstatistcs such as those available in Nettracker are effective technical methods of measuring response.
What is a Custom Field and why is this important?
A custom field is a piece of information that describes some of your records that are in your mailing list. They can be used to filter certain functions based on the information or to allow personalization of email newsletters. An example of a custom field could be a firstname, lastname, address, etc.
Custom fields allow you to collect more information about your subscribers that will allow you to personalize your emails to subscribers based on this information. It equips you with more information about the user to help you send relevant information to the right people.
