There are several reasons the referrer would be listed as None:

• You are not logging referrer information in your log file. (If all your referrers show up as None, this is probably the reason.) If you tell your server to log that field, you will start to see referrer information.

• The visitor typed the URL of your Web site directly into the browser or used a bookmark to your site.
• The visitor's Web browser did not pass referrer information to your Web server.
