The Unique Visitors count is a count of the number of visitors to the site during the specified time period. For example, for January 2004 this number would be all of the visitors that visited during January 2004.

The New Visitors count is the number of visitors who made their first visit ever to your site during the specified time period. (These are visitors NetTracker doesn't recognize from previous visits.) A visitor is only ever new once. For instance, if a visitor came to your site for the very first time in January 2004, they would be counted as a new visitor in January 2004. If they came to your site once in January 2004 but had previously visited in December 2003, they would not show up as a new visitor in January 2004.

The Repeat Visitors count is the number of visitors during the specified time period who have been to your site before (visitors NetTracker does recognize). If a visitor comes to your site once in December 2003 and once in January 2004, they will be counted as a repeat visitor in January 2004.

The number of unique visitors will not necessarily equal the number of new visitors plus the number of repeat visitors because a visitor can be both a new and repeat visitor in the same time period. For example, if a visitor comes to your site for the very first time on January 1 and then visits again on January 5, the visitor would be counted as both a new and a repeat visitor.
