| What is the SMTP/Outgoing email server for my ISP? |
|
We recommend most clients use the SMTP/Outgoing server provided by their Internet Service Provider. Server names for some common services are given below. If they do not work or your ISP is not listed, please contact your ISP for further assistance. Common ISP Servers: Local - Fuse = smtp.fuse.net
- Road Runner = smtp-server.cinci.rr.com
- Nuvox/One.Net = smtp.nuvox.net
- ISOC = mail.isoc.net
National - America Online = mail.profitability.net (see note 1)
- Earthlink = smtpauth.earthlink.net (see note 2)
- SBC Yahoo DSL = (see note 3)
Notes: 1) Since America Online uses a proprietary mail system, they do not provide access to SMTP servers for use with normal mail programs. You can use the Profitability server but when using our server you must check your mail before sending messages so that we know you are a valid client. 2) Earthlink requires "SMTP Authentication" to use their server for outgoing mail. If you need assistance in setting this up, please contact Earthlink support. 3) The server used for SBC/Yahoo DSL depends on which network/company you are served by. To determine the proper setting please see the SBC/Yahoo support page.
